This is one of four carved oak panels from a house in the Overgate in Dundee. The panels date from around 1540 and may have been carved in Scotland. Three of the four depict Biblical scenes.

This highly detailed panel, carved in high relief, shows the Adoration of the Magi. The dress depicted is based on French court fashion of the time.
