Add to album

This 13th-century bronze figure of Christ originally formed part of a crucifix. It was made at Limoges in France, and was found in the churchyard at Ceres in Fife.

The figure is decorated with gilding, engraving, and blue and green enamel. It depicts Christ wearing a crown and a gown. The gown consists of a knee-length tunic worn over a long undergarment which descends to the ankles.
