Spearhead

This iron spearhead was found at Urquhart Castle near Drumnadrochit in Inverness-shire. It dates from between the 13th and 15th century.

The spearhead has a diamond section.

Urquhart Castle commanded a strategic position on Loch Ness. It was vital to the Scottish crown's control of the northern and western Highlands.
