Blade of a reaping hookA reaping hook is similar to a sickle. This bronze blade for a reaping hook was found at Dores in Inverness-shire. It was used sometime between 950 and 750 BC to harvest crops. Copper alloy sickle from Dores, Inverness-shire Sickles and reaping hooks were used from an early time to cut crops at harvest time.
