Ring and cross presented to John Sprott, 49th Bishop of Brechin
This gold episcopal ring and pectoral cross were presented to John Sprott in 1959 upon his election as 49th Bishop of Brechin. They were made in Birmingham.
The 'Celtic'-shaped cross is inset with a citrine and is engraved on the back, 'John Chappell Sprott / Bishop of Brechin/ 1959 / from his clergy'. The cross and its chain are both of 9ct gold.
