From Lochspouts Crannog, Ayrshire
This small yellow glass bead was found Lochspouts Crannog in Ayrshire. Glass beads were valuable objects, probably worn on necklaces, perhaps with beads of other materials. It may have reached Ayrshire from Moray as an aristocratic gift.

The yellow beads form a distinct group of Iron Age beads, probably manufactured at the Culbin Sands, Moray area in the 1st century BC to around 50 AD.
