This broken bronze cooking pot dates from the 16th or 17th century. It was found buried at Fisherrow at Musselburgh in East Lothian in 1951. When found, it contained a number of coins of Elizabeth I of England, James VI & I, Charles I and continental rulers.
The three-legged pot has a globular body and an out-turned rim. Only one handle now survives.
