Sword and scabbardThis sword and leather scabbard dates from between around 1626-86 and was owned by Alexander Peden, a Covenanting minister from Ayrshire. Plug bayonet with wooden hilt which belonged to Alexander Peden Alexander Peden was an Ayrshire field preacher and leading Covenanter who was admired and revered and often spoken of as a prophet.
