LadleThis soup ladle, dated 1776, was made in Edinburgh by Patrick Robertson. It is one of a collection of 250 pieces of silver plate made for Sheriff Donald MacLeod of Geanies in Ross-shire and his descendants. The ladle has an 'Old English' stem and a gadrooned bowl rim. When MacLeod wanted a second ladle to match his Edinburgh-made one, he went to Alexander Stewart in Tain who made him a copy.
