Coin die, for Charles II bawbees (obverse)This iron coin die is for striking the obverse of Charles II bawbees. It was made at the Scottish Mint in Edinburgh between 1660 and 1685. The die has a bust of Charles II crowned with laurel leaves. The inscription reads 'Charles II, by the Grace of God, King of Scots, England, Ireland, France and Ireland'.
