Silver medal (reverse) commemorating the coronation of Charles IIThis is the reverse of a silver medal commemorating the coronation of Charles I in 1633. The reverse bears a thistle. The Latin inscription translates as 'From this have grown our roses/Crowned 18 June/1633 B'. The 'B' in the inscription is the initial of Nicholas Briot, who was working at the Tower Mint in London in 1633. Briot was appointed Master of the Scottish Mint in 1635.
