Button stick, associated with Gordon HighlandersThis button stick, made from bone, was used around 1870 by Private C. Mill of The 92nd (Gordon Highlanders) to protect the cloth of his uniform from staining while he was polishing his buttons. The buttons were inserted through the hole and then pushed down the slot so that several could be polished at once. This button stick has been decorated with the owner's name and badges of his regiment, The 92nd (Gordon Highlanders). Record detailsTo search on related items, click any linked text below.
