Jade figure of a hound

The recumbent posture of this jade hound is based on the design of early pieces.

The fore legs of the dog extend forward and support the head. The spine and ribs are rendered by incised lines. There is a perforation between the two fore legs under the head.

Pieces from the Song period often have the feature of crossed fore legs.
