Earthenware plateThis plate was made in mid 19th century at Robert Heron & Sons' pottery at Kirkcaldy in Fife. The plate is transfer-printed in blue with a pattern known as 'Temple'. The plate is marked 'R H FP'. Heron's Fife Pottery is perhaps best known for its brightly painted, highly fashionable and expensive Wemyss Ware.
