KishieA kishie is a basket for carrying grain, made from rushes, floss, straw or bent grass. This example is from Shetland. Rivva kishie, or pannier, made of semmints hand-wound from rashes or floss, used with maishies and klibber on ponyback, from Shetland Baskets, carried on the backs of people or ponies were woven from local plants.
