Harness mount of bronzeThis bronze harness mount was found at Everley Broch in Caithness. It was probably used on a harness sometime between 200 BC and 200 AD. The mount is corroded, with a small hole near the central boss. Finds of horseshoes and harness and bridle fittings provide evidence of the importance of horses from an early period.
