Medal (obverse) commemorating the International Exhibition of Industry, Science and ArtThis is the obverse of a white metal medal commemorating the International Exhibition of Industry, Science and Art held in Edinburgh in 1886. The medal was made by a Peter Westray. The obverse bears an engraving of the exhibition site. The inscription reads 'INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF INDUSTRY, SCIENCE AND ART/ EDINBURGH 1886/ UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF HER MOST GRACIOUS MAJESTY THE QUEEN'. Edinburgh hosted international exhibitions in 1886 and 1907, and Glasgow in 1888 and 1901.
