From Lintoun, now West Linton, Peeblesshire
These two pewter communion cups come from Lintoun, now West Linton, in Peeblesshire. The one on the left dates from 1761, the one on the right from 1785.
The cups are engraved with the inscription: 'Belonging to the Asociate Congregation at Lintoun'.
The Associate Congregation was one of the groups that broke from the established Church of Scotland at the original secession in 1733.
