This inlaid wood panel was designed by Sir Robert Lorimer. It was made by Whytock & Reid, an Edinburgh firm where Lorimer developed a strong working relationship with the craftsmen.

The panel depicts a scene featuring stags.

Sir Robert Lorimer (1864-1929) was one of the foremost architects of his day. His main inspiration came from studying traditional Scottish buildings and furnishings, and from the natural world.
