Beggar's badge

This beggar's badge is from the parish of Rothesay on the Island of Bute in Argyllshire. It is made of pewter and dates from 1827.

The front of the red circular badge is inscribed with 'Rothesay Parish', 'No. 89' and the date, 1827. There are two perforations above the number.
