Add to album

This pewter communion flagon is from the Martyr's Church in Glasgow. It was made in the late 18th century by J. Wylie, a pewterer in Glasgow.

The flagon has a simple moulded foot, a hollow S-shaped handle, and a simple spout. The body is plain but for a simple central strap. The hinged lid has an acorn knop and a thumb-piece stands above the hinge.
