made in Edinburgh
This pewter bedpan was made in the late 18th century by Robert Kinniburgh, a pewterer based in Edinburgh.
The bedpan has a gently curving seat around a central opening. The handle is cylindrical with a cap at the end which screws off to allow the pan to be emptied. On the base is stamped 'Kiniburgh'.
