This earthenware plate was made in 1901 by the Nautilus Porcelain Company at Possil in Glasgow. It commemorates the Glasgow Exhibition of 1901.

The plate has a view of the building and site containing the Glasgow Exhibition.

Glasgow hosted international exhibitions in 1888 and 1901. It held a National Exhibition in 1911. These were large events where Scottish products ranging from railway engineering to pottery were displayed alongside international exhibits.
