Coin (Reverse), three pence piece, from reign of Charles IThis is the reverse of a silver pattern three pence piece minted in Edinburgh in 1631, during the reign of Charles I. The reverse has a thistle. The Latin inscription translates as: 'No one shall hurt me with impunity'. This coin is an example of a pattern for a proposed issue of three pence Scots tokens in copper.
