Front of a cross slab
Add to album

This is the front of a Pictish cross slab, carved in the 9th century. For many years the slab was built into a window opening of an old ruined church at Invergowrie in Perthshire.

The front of the slab has a ringed cross filled with interlace, and four panels of key pattern in the corners. The top edge is decorated with key pattern and the sides with interlace.
