Fashion plate, from La Mode IllustreéThis hand-coloured fashion plate is from La Mode Illustreé, a fashion magazine published in Paris. Dating from 1872, the plate illustrates fancy dress outfits. It is signed, 'Huard' and 'Anaïs Toudouze'. The women on the left is wearing an Arabian costume, the one on the right a costume of 'Isabeau de Bavière'. The little girl is dressed as a peasant.
