PotThis tin-glazed earthenware pot was used for herbs, ointments or other medicines. It dates from the 18th century. The pot is straight sided with a slightly fluted rim and foot. It is very cracked and chipped. In the 18th century most doctors prepared the drugs they prescribed. Some of their herbs could be collected in the countryside.
