This parian ware vase was made by the Glasgow potters J. and M.P. Bell around 1851. It is a copy of the Warwick Vase, now in the Burrell Collection in Glasgow.

Parian ware is white unglazed ceramic, initially called 'statuary porcelain' as it successfully imitated marble.
