Plaque from an armourer's toolbox
Add to album

This plaque is on an 18th-century wooden toolbox, containing a set of gentleman's gunsmithing tools, that was originally given by Cameron of Lochiel to Donald MacNab of Innishoan. Both men were officers in Prince Charles Edward's Jacobite army.

The plaque relates that the tool set was presented to Donald MacNab's descendant, General Duncan MacNab, in 1814.
