From Strageath, Perthshire
This bronze belt fitting was found at the site of the Roman outpost fort at Strageath in Perthshire. It was worn by either a legionary or auxiliary soldier sometime between 80 and 180 AD.

Belts were an essential item of clothing for a Roman soldier. Although leather rarely survives, the fittings, buckles and strap ends have been found.
