This set of wrought iron fire irons was designed by Sir Robert Lorimer and made by Thomas Hadden's Ironworks in Edinburgh around 1915.

The set consists of a small shovel, a poker, fire tongs and a shaped stand.

Sir Robert Lorimer (1864-1929) was one of the foremost architects of his day. His main inspiration came from studying traditional Scottish buildings and furnishings, and from the natural world.
