This colourless glass vase dates from around 1925. It was made by RenÈ Lalique at Wingen-sur-Moder in France.

The vase is moulded with tall pointed leaves. The mark 'R LALIQUE' is moulded in relief.

RenÈ Lalique had started his career as a designer of jewellery in the Art Nouveau style, but began experimenting with glass about 1902. In 1907 RenÈ Coty commissioned him to design decorative perfume bottles and by 1918 Lalique was sufficiently established to buy a large factory at Wingen-sur-Moder. Lalique had his own pavilion at the 1925 Paris Exposition Des Arts DÈcoratifs Et Industriels.
