Trimming hookA trimming hook, also known as a billhook, is a tool with a hooked blade for pruning and chopping. This iron example was found at the site of the Roman fort at Newstead in Roxburghshire. It was used sometime between 80 and 180 AD. A wooden handle was inserted into the long socket.
