From Urquhart Castle, near Drumnadrochit, Inverness-Shire
These pins were found at Urquhart Castle near Drumnadrochit in Inverness-shire. The top two are made of bronze, the lower one of bone. The pins were used to fasten a cloak or plaid. Pins were mainly used by men, brooches by women.
The top pin has a pentagonal head with an incised X, while the bone pin has a globular head.
