Electrotype of a medal (reverse), commemorating the Marriage of Mary, Queen of Scots and Henry, Lord DarnleyThis is the reverse of a 19th-century electrotype of a bronze medal made in honour of the marriage of Mary, Queen of Scots and Henry, Lord Darnley in 1565. The reverse has a crowned shield of arms between two thistles. The Latin inscription translates as 'Those whom God hath joined together, let not man put asunder'.
