Tumbler

This glass tumbler dates from 1971. It was designed by Christel and Christer Holmgren and made by Holmegaards Glassworks of Fensmark in Denmark.

The tumbler is made of clear colourless and turquoise-blue glass. The design is called 'Bla time'.

Since the end of World War II, the national design organisations of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark have collaborated with joint exhibitions and prizes to promote modern functional design. This resulted in a characteristic 'Scandinavian Style' which was a major influence on world taste.
