A billhead is a letterhead used for statements of charges. This example, dated 1830, is of the Clydesdale Inn and Hotel in Lanark. The bill is for tea, breakfast, lunch and lodgings.
The billhead has an engraving of 'Corra Linn' signed, 'Pollock Sc'. The proprietor of the hotel at this time is John Buchanan, who previously ran the Commercial Inn.
