Sword stick, associated with John Graham, Viscount DundeeA sword stick is a walking stick that contains a slender sword. This example is said to have been used by John Graham, Viscount Dundee. The hide-covered sword stick has a brass tip and a brass eyelet hole in the handle. The first Jacobite rising was led by John Graham, Viscount Dundee, after James VII had fled London in 1688. Dundee's Jacobite army eventually fought government troops at Killiecrankie in Perthshire in 1689. The Jacobites won but Dundee was killed.
