This pair of silver toast racks were made in Edinburgh in 1911 by Hamilton & Inches.

Each wire work rack has divisions for four pieces of toast.

Hamilton & Inches was founded in 1866 by James Hamilton and his nephew Robert Kirk Inches. Their first shop was at 90A Princes Street and was primarily a retailing establishment. The firm continued in family ownership until 1992.
