JugThis soft paste porcelain jug was possibly made at one of the potteries in Musselburgh in East Lothian. It dates from the early 19th century. The jug has a cream glaze and is decorated with sprigs of blue flowers. From 1750 onwards, large-scale potteries were established on the south side of the Firth of Forth, at Prestonpans, Prestongrange, West Pans, Musselburgh and Portobello.
