Mug, punch ladle, punch bowl and saucer

This mug, punch ladle, punch bowl and saucer were designed by Jorma Vennola in 1977 and made in 1979 by the Iittala Glassworks in Finland.

The items are all made of clear colourless glass. The design is called 'Paula'. The mug and the punch ladle have detachable stainless steel handles.

Since the end of World War II, the national design organisations of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark have collaborated with joint exhibitions and prizes to promote modern functional design. This resulted in a characteristic 'Scandinavian Style' which was a major influence on world taste.
