Samurai wore two swords, one long one short. Important blades were named. b) The back edge of the blade is bevelled to half way from the point imitating the traditional form of the ancient sword, Kogarasu maru, little crow, made by the legendary Amakumi.
a) blade signed Mutsu no Daijo Sansen Nagamichi, who worked in Kyoto in the latter half of the 17th century. Also inscribed with, a test, done in1862. b) blade signed Mutsu no suke Hiromoto, who worked at Edo b1778 d 1843. Dated on reverse 1828.
