This porcelain gilt vase was made by the Nautilus Porcelain Company at Possil in Glasgow between around 1896 and 1913.
The ornate vase has a pierced rim and handles, which have been gilded. The body is painted with flowers.
From about 1896 until 1913 the Nautilus Porcelain Company produced a wide range of both decorative and utilitarian wares. The Possil Pottery was later bought by the brewers Tennants and made a range of stoneware bottles, jars and electrical insulators.
