Spoon or scoopThis bone spoon or scoop was found at Old Cattlefold at Vallay on North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. It probably dates from between 0 and 1000 AD. The small spoon has a broad rectangular bowl and a short slender handle. Several artefacts of this kind have been found, and their function is uncertain.
