Whisky tumbler
Add to album

This glass whisky tumbler was designed by Bjorn Weckstrom in 1977 and made in 1979 by the Nuutajarvi Glassworks in Finland.

The tumbler is made of clear colourless glass with the base moulded in the form of ice. The design is called 'Himalaja'.

Since the end of World War II, the national design organisations of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark have collaborated with joint exhibitions and prizes to promote modern functional design. This resulted in a characteristic 'Scandinavian Style' which was a major influence on world taste.
