RecordBrooch< 1 of 1 > Back From Strageath, Perthshire
BroochThis enamelled bronze brooch was found at the site of the Roman outpost fort at Strageath in Perthshire. It was probably made in the north-west provinces of the Roman empire. Two of the four projecting knobs on this plate brooch are incomplete. The Roman army obtained supplies from three zones: locally (either by the army or natives), within the Roman province of Britannia, or further afield in the Roman empire.
