From St Paul's and St George's Episcopal Church, Edinburgh
Patens are plates on which the bread is placed in the Eucharist during Mass. This example is made of silver and comes from St Paul's and St George's Episcopal Church in Edinburgh. It was made by P.Cunningham and Son, Edinburgh in 1811-1812.
The paten has a raised and beaded rim and a trumpet-shaped pedestal foot.
