Dish (2 of 2)

This maiolica dish was made at Deruta in Italy around 1500. This photograph shows the underside.

On the underside are petals crossed with paraphs in orange and blue, and a crossed 'M'. The upper side of the dish is imbricated in blue and yellow on the border and has a fruit or pine cone in polychrome in the centre.
