Silver sugar basin
Add to album

This silver sugar bowl was made around 1760 by Glasgow silversmith, Adam Graham.

The bowl is pear-shaped and has a domed moulded foot.

From the early 18th century onwards, as the fashionable habit of tea drinking spread, the demand for sugar to sweeten it also increased.
