Drug jar (2 of 2)

This maiolica drug jar was made at Siena in Italy around 1510.

The jar is painted in polychrome with two naked men - one of them possibly Hercules - in combat, a shield of arms, grotesques and the inscription 'SAVORE' (possibly 'relish' or 'flavour').
